A man in Maryland, who has no arms or legs and is known for playing cornhole, has been accused of allegedly shooting a passenger he was driving during an argument in La Plata. The incident has left many people online expressing shock, with some questioning how such a situation was possible.

The man has been identified as Dayton James Webber, a quadruple amputee. He was driving a passenger, Bradrick Michael Wells, at around 10:30 p.m. when an argument broke out between the two. Authorities say that during the dispute, Webber shot Wells.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office has charged Webber in connection with the killing of Wells, who was pronounced dead after being found. According to WUSA9, Webber faces charges of “first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and other related charges.” Authorities have not released additional details regarding the cause of the argument between the two men.

The news of Wells’ death prompted a range of reactions online. Many users expressed disbelief that a quadruple amputee could allegedly shoot and kill someone, with some focusing on the unusual nature of the situation rather than the tragedy itself. As a result, social media commentary often leaned toward humor more than anything else.

Mixed Reactions to Maryland Man Killing Victim

Many online users made jokes about the Maryland incident, particularly focusing on the fact that Webber is a quadruple amputee. One person quipped, “How many times does this guy need to be disarmed?” Another commented, “lmao I had to read this sentence five times, it’s dense with information. Also how does a quadruple amputee shoot someone? Do they have mouth-guns like some quadriplegic gamers can play video games using their mouths?” These reactions reflect how the unusual details of the case captured widespread attention and disbelief, often overshadowing the seriousness of the underlying crime.

Many social media users continued to joke about the Maryland incident, often highlighting the seemingly improbable circumstances. One person wrote, “I mean disgusting person but also a tale of overcoming the odds. Professional cornholer, able to drive, and wield a gun while being a quad amputee.” Another expressed disbelief that the story was real, saying, “I know I shouldn’t have busted out laughing, but that is the wildest headline I’ve ever seen.” Some users even questioned the accuracy of the report. One commenter wrote, “I think the AI reporter meant double or apodal amputee? I mean, how does a quadruple amputee drive a car, shoot a person, get rid of a body, go to the hospital and take themselves inside?”

This is certainly an unusual story, so we are going to go out on a limb here and say it’s unlikely to be topped anytime soon.
