UPDATE: The crashing issues in relation to Xbox Wireless headsets have been mostly fixed! Keep in mind though that connecting or disconnecting the headset in the launcher and while launching a game will still cause a crash.

The full trilogy of phenomenal role-playing games is finally gracing the hands of players all around. While some are finding some serious enjoyment out of the title, others are having some troubles causing their games to crash. If you happen to be one of these people, we can only begin to imagine your frustrations. Regardless, we do have a fix for those of you where a simple restart doesn’t suffice. Without further adieu, here’s how you can fix crashing issues in Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
How to Fix Crashing Issues in Mass Effect Legendary Edition
So first of all, the reason most of you are likely here is due to crashes through the Xbox Series X version of the game. This version is causing the most woes for players, as there’s a particular issue within the code related to the Xbox Wireless Headset. If you find yourself running into this issue, there is a temporary workaround. To access Mass Effect Legendary Edition without the crashes:
- Turn off your wireless headset
- Launch Mass Effect Legendary Edition from the dashboard
- Select whichever of the three games you wish to play from the launcher
- Once on the title screen, turn on your wireless headset
Mind you, this solution is rather annoying as turning it off then on every time can get tiresome. At the same time though, it’s realistically your only option until EA and BioWare push a fix for the update. We also are currently unaware of the cause, but it likely has to do with the way the game tackles audio pertaining to your wireless headset. Regardless, once the fix is pushed through, we’ll be sure to update this article.
