Camera footage showed one of the buyers looking through the other items the couple had in their yard. The buyer could be seen picking up various belongings and examining them, seemingly deciding whether to take them. The woman explained in the video that they had several things outside because she had a long day and had not gotten the chance to tidy up the yard as she normally does.
The girlfriend said she only discovered that the buyers had taken other belongings after reviewing the camera footage once they had already left. She then contacted them and asked that they return everything else they had taken. Her boyfriend later went outside to meet the buyers and confront them about their actions. He reportedly told them that their behavior was strange and that people do not simply go through other people’s driveways.
The buyers eventually handed the boyfriend the other belongings they had taken, aside from the table they had originally collected. However, the situation became more complicated when they allegedly tried to leave in a hurry and backed their vehicle into the couple’s car, causing damage. The boyfriend immediately confronted them about the collision, and police eventually arrived to file a report. The couple said that what began as a free table pickup could now end up costing thousands of dollars in car repairs.
