Massachusetts Republicans Angry at Governor Healey’s New $3.5B Slush Fund As Cost of Living Soars ‘More broken promises by Maura’

Where is the audit?

The Massachusetts GOP has been building anger toward Governor Healey throughout her term, but tensions have reached a breaking point following the filing of the “Mass Wins Act.” While Healey plans to spend her Patriots’ Day celebrating the Boston Marathon, taking place on April 20th, conservatives took her to task for what they describe as a globalist slush fund designed to obstruct federal policy at the taxpayers’ expense. They took to social media, and they’ve been voicing their displeasure big time.

After a series of setbacks involving the Homebase Program and surging energy bills, Republicans have pivoted their ire toward this $3.5 billion economic package. Some argue the bill ignores the state’s crumbling infrastructure in favor of subsidizing tech firms to bypass national trade regulations set by President Trump. Her latest attempt at festive humor and consistent pandering at local events only angers them further, as they call for her to get voted out come this midterm. Here is what some folks had to say about her new policy.

“The only Win Massachusetts will have is if you’re not re-elected!!”

“You failed everything and even block the Audit people voted for. Step down is your only choice.”

“More broken promises by Maura”

“Spending $50 MILLION money re of taxpayers money that you will never get back!!! How about giving that 50MILLION TO CITIES AND TOWNS THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY RIPPED OFF!!!”

“You don’t know anything about business or making money. You are a politician, lawyer that knows how to spend and waste money only. Time to go girlfriend”

The Mass Wins Act is basically being treated as a billion-dollar betrayal of the working citizens in the middle class, who argue that tax funds either go to big corporations that don’t need more incentives or programs feeding immigrants and illegals. It should be a contentious midterm if Massachusetts conservatives come out in droves, or most will end up migrating to GOP-friendly states instead.
