Activision has been dealing with one Modern Warfare 3 leak after another. And this one is the biggest yet. After the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 update, some keen-eyed fans quickly found details about the Modern Warfare 3 reveal through a datamine. The details confirmed include the reveal date, weapons that will be in the game, and some official key art.
Modern Warfare 3 has already been confirmed to carry over data from Modern Warfare 2, so a lot of the weapons you see in the datamine leak might seem familiar. Furthermore, the reveal is expected to take place within Warzone season 5 as a limited-time event. Modern Warfare 3 is expected to be revealed on August 17, but some of the following announcements from Activision throw a wrench into those predictions.

Activision’s Hilarious Response to the Modern Warfare 3 Datamine Leak
Activision quickly found out about this Modern Warfare 3 leak and instead of the usual removal, the company acknowledged it in the most entertaining way possible. A tweet from the official Call of Duty account said the following:

The aforementioned wrench being thrown into the August 17 reveal is the company claiming it’ll share more information next week.
