Matthew Perry’s sad and untimely death shocked Hollywood and those close to the actor. However, Perry’s love for the drug that killed him went deeper than anyone ever realized. Perry allegedly wanted to open a ketamine therapy business. The idea was to sell the drug so others could enjoy the therapeutic benefits. Although those plans never came to fruition due to Perry’s accidental overdose. Many still mourn the death of the Friends star.
According to Page Six, Matthew Perry had befriended an unknown man with whom he hoped to do business. A close friend of Perry stated that he would often talk about how “fantastic” ketamine was. It was said that Perry had also brought up the unknown man a few times. Matthew’s friend stated that it was clear that this random guy was giving him as much of the drug as Perry wanted. “It was terrible.”
Multiple Arrests Have Been Made Involving the Matthew Perry Case
Despite it being almost a year since Perry’s death, TMZ reports that there were multiple arrests made today involving the case. Matthew’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Fleming have already made plea deals. Prosecutors say that the two helped broker the drug deals. Iwamasa pled guilty to the distribution of ketamine, resulting in serious bodily harm.
Police say that an “underground criminal network” was responsible for supplying Matthew Perry with the drugs. Two medical doctors, as well as somebody referred to as the “ketamine queen,” were also arrested. They have been charged with conspiring to provide drugs to the Friends actor.
