Mia Goth, known for her roles in Pearl and X, is being sued by an extra on the set of her latest movie, MaXXXine, after he claims she deliberately kicked him in the head. The extra, who is currently unnamed, is suing Goth, director Ti West, and A24 for at least $500K after the movie’s leading actress gave him a concussion in a scene where he was meant to be playing dead. He claims she then “mocked and belittled” him about the incident. Goth and her team haven’t issued any word on the lawsuit as of yet.
Mia Goth Faces A $500K Lawsuit After Allegedly Injuring an Extra On Set
Mia Goth, Shia LaBeouf‘s wife, starred as Maxine in X, a 2022 thriller starring a group of adult filmmakers fighting for their lives in rural Texas. Now, Goth is back as the lone survivor of the first film, reprising her role as Maxine as she struggles to make it in 1980s LA. The MaXXXine actress has landed herself in some hot water that has nothing to do with her character after an extra claims things got violent on set.
According to one of the extras on the set of the movie, Mia Goth deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot during a take where he was meant to be playing dead. TMZ reports that, per the extra’s lawsuit, he was covered in fake blood and made to lay on the ground for hours. Goth was meant to run past him, but instead she first “nearly stepped” on him and then “intentionally kicked” him in the head, despite being warned to be careful.
The lawsuit doesn’t stop there, as the MaXXXine extra recounts how he wasn’t provided any medical assistance on set. Instead, he claims Goth followed him to the bathroom and “taunted, mocked, and belittled” him about the incident, allegedly “daring [him] to do anything about what went down.” What’s worse, the extra states he remained in a great amount of pain after the blow to the head, nearly passing out twice on his way home after the incident and later receiving a concussion diagnosis from a doctor.
Now, the extra is coming after Mia Goth for at least $500,000 in damages for battery and wrongful termination. Goth isn’t the only target of this lawsuit, as it also includes MaXXXine director Ti West and A24 as a whole. No one else from the movie, including Mia Goth herself, has spoken about the incident, the lawsuit, or addressed the extra’s claims in any way.
