As the release of Wuthering Waves draws near, Kuro Games has thrown a thrilling curveball at fans, a new resonator showcase featuring the intriguing Jiyan. In the video, we’re given a glimpse into his serious and distant character, only to realize that there’s much more to him than his initial facade suggests. The trailer couldn’t have been timed better before he takes center stage in phase 1 of Wuthering Waves Version 1.0. In previous videos and illustrations, little information was revealed about who the general of the Midnight Rangers really is. So far, thanks to his drip marketing, it has been shown that this half-dragon being was a doctor first. He dedicated his youthful years to helping others until he apparently had to stop, or so says the unknown character. Later, Jiyan became the great warrior he is today, but that does not mean he was always successful. In this same Wuthering Waves resonator showcase, some of Jiyan’s troops and comrades lost in previous battles, and that guilt can eat away at him.
However, the general has the support and willpower to overcome this strange enemy. There is also the display of his superb spear skills as well as his lethal sky and ground attacks. Fortunately, players will be able to get to know Jiyan in more depth with his “companion quest.” Also available in this 1.0 version are the story quests of other characters, such as Yinling and Lingyang.
