Fox recently posed for the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 edition, and during the interview, she made a shocking revelation. The Holiday In The Sun actress said that she has body dysmorphia. Consequently, she does not view herself the same way other people see her.
The mother of three added that there has never been a point in her life when she got satisfied with her body. She has always been conscious of her body from a very young age. When she was younger, she used to have this obsession with what she wanted to look like.
Fox said the journey of loving herself and accepting the way she looks seems like an endless journey. Some time ago, she hinted about this during a joint interview with Machine Gun Kelly for the British GQ style’s autumn/ winter 2021 issue. The Transformers actress said that sometimes we view someone as being beautiful, but they don’t feel that way about themselves.
Fox Is Learning To Love Herself The More
The movie star has gotten a way to deal with body dysmorphia. Per E! News, one of the ways she is dealing with it is by loving herself more. According to her, it has helped her through the trauma.
It made her realize that one can not bury their traumas. “No one knows anything about me. They don’t know how deep that rabbit hole goes with my childhood and with everything my body stored”, Fox said, referring to how she is battling with loving her body.
As someone who struggled to accept her physical features, many adverse effects arose, leading to body dysmorphia. The Jennifer’s Body alum has developed deep insecurities due to that. It made her so conscious of herself and uncomfortable.
