Megan Fox‘s latest Instagram slams those criticizing her for not publicly donating to her friend’s GoFundMe. Earlier this month, Fox’s manicurist, Brittney Boyce, created the page to cover her ailing father’s medical expenses. In response, the Transformers star promoted Boyce’s GoFundMe on Instagram, hoping that her followers would be able to come up with the necessary funds. “My [friend’s] dad was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,” Fox wrote on her Story alongside a link to the page. “If you guys are able to help, please do.” Soon after, fans called out Fox for not using her own money to help Boyce. Now, Megan Fox’s latest Instagram is shutting down those who are accusing her of being stingy. Read more about the GoFundMe drama below.

In Megan Fox’s latest Instagram, the star addressed the GoFundMe drama for the first time by explaining why she hadn’t paid for Boyce’s expenses herself. “Hey weirdos,” she began her message. “Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe [Boyce] doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?”
As an alternative, Fox explained Boyce asked her to use her platform to promote the GoFundMe. She hoped “many people could donate small amounts” to help her reach the fund’s initial $30,000 goal. According to Boyce’s posting, the money would go toward her father’s prescriptions that aren’t covered by insurance. Although her 64-year-old father was “still working” before his cancer diagnosis, Boyce said his latest health issues have forced him to take some time off. Since he won’t be returning to work for a while, Boyce launched the GoFundMe “so he can focus on himself and not the stress on finances.”
Fox said she “obliged” Boyce’s request to simply promote the fund. However, she’s more than willing to help Boyce in other ways. “Anything she needs from me personally she will ask and I will do it privately,” she said. With this in mind, Fox fired back at those who accused her of being “miserly” or “lacking generosity” after failing to publicly contribute to the GoFundMe herself. “Try again on another day [probably tmwr!] with some different bullsh*t you bunch of psychos,” she wrote.
Following Megan Fox’s latest Instagram, Boyce’s GoFundMe had reached over $11,000 from over 260 donations so far.
