When someone loses their cool on live TV, it’s usually a telltale sign that something dark is at play. And while critics have always thoroughly scrutinized Meghan Markle‘s body language over the recent years, some might not know that the darker side of her behavior was caught on camera many years ago. A user by the name of rvealingthenarc shared a clip of Meghan from a resurfaced interaction with a reporter back in November 2013. In the video, the former actress accidentally let her “mask” slip off.
Speaking with a member of the now-cancelled Xposé show, Meghan Markle was asked if she would be challenged to a pint-off with the reporter. For some reason, that statement didn’t sit quite well with Prince Harry’s future wife, as she gritted her teeth and gave the reporter quite the disturbing death stare for several moments before swapping back to a smile. It’s a rather subtle change, but very noticeable if you look closely at her facial expression before her head turns to the side with a smirk. Many people feel that that moment represented the “true Meghan,” as well as the person who is currently controlling Harry’s and steering his future.
“Honestly that shift was kinda scary. Look into her eyes .. something ain’t right,” remarked a user. “It’s because for half a second she hasn’t read the vibe that this is a non-threatening encounter where she’s not going to lose control of the narrative,” another explained. “She has a ‘tin ear’ for human relations and is literal-minded.” Others accused her reaction as proof of her being clinically derranged, while many believed that it was the unexpected and unscripted ‘pint-off challenge’ that caused her to lose control momentarily. “Meghan can barely control her rage in public. Which means that behind closed doors, she very likely does not even try to,” added a commenter.
Besides her underlying anger issues over the years, Meghan Markle is no stranger to acting controversially in public. In the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex had the audacity to mock Queen Elizabeth, talking about how she felt that the curtsy to the monarch was nothing more than a joke. Scripted moments like this, along with plenty of unscripted instances, have been one of multiple leading factors in why many despise Meghan Markle so much.
