Another day, another chance for Harry or Meghan to embarrass themselves, and this time, it’s Meghan taking the spotlight to give it her best shot. The two ex-royals attended a party, but not just any party: mogul Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration. As anyone could imagine, plenty of big A-lister names were there, including Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, the Biebers, and obviously the Kardashians. Oftentimes at these big events, critics patiently await the moment one of the Sussexes will trip up. But at this party, Meghan Markle doesn’t hesitate to do the job herself by photobombing a photoshoot.
“The grifters be grifting,” says X user ViQueenie, who posted a photo of Harry and Meghan in the background of three other celebrities having their photo taken. Normally, you’d move out of the way whenever someone else is doing a photoshoot, or at the very least, appear naturally as you stroll by. But Meghan Markle had the grand idea of photobombing the shot and made Harry pay miserably for it with embarrassment. “Harry, again, looks miserable. The viper of course is in her own idea of heaven,” ViQueenie remarks.
For years, Harry and Meghan have been criticized as being heat-seeking missiles for the camera. Whether it’s an official event or something small in public, they will be there to be publicized. For instance, the two were spotted helping people during the LA fires, but many Sussex followers saw it as nothing more than a PR show. And while that case might be relatively subjective, Meghan Markle was definitely not doing her or Harry any favors when she wanted to photobomb with an embarrassing peace sign while walking by with bizarrely puffed-up cheeks at Kris Jenner’s party.
“From the Buckingham Palace balcony to being photo-bombers on the sidelines at a Hollywood party,” noted one Redditor. “Trying to act like she’s dancing. How creepy and pathetic,” added another. “Girlfriend can always find a camera,” laughed a third. Others mentioned how she might have been intoxicated, which caused her to act rudely. Even so, it’s still uncalled for and inconsiderate.
Ever since Harry’s return from the UK and his visit with King Charles, interest in the Sussexes has fallen, while other news takes their place. Whether it is Andrew losing his privileges as prince or Princess Beatrice hanging out with Saudi Arabian officials for tea, the Royal Family now has other matters to attend to. Still, Meghan tries her best to stay in the media, whether by parading her children and Harry around on Instagram, or accepting baseball game invitations from controversial Trump supporters. In the end, sadly, the results are the same: the Sussexes are the standing joke of former royalty.
