Meghan Markle recently sat down for an interview on a podcast with her pal, IT Cosmetics co-founder Jamie Kern Lima. During the sitdown, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about various parts of her life, such as her business and children, Archie and Lilibet. However, it was her comments about her husband, Prince Harry, that really raised eyebrows—so much so that a body language expert is now speaking out about Markle’s behavior and lack of emotion.
Fans got to see a different side of Meghan Markle on the Jamie Kern Lima show. The Duchess opted to go with no makeup and dress down in a pair of sweatpants for the interview. While her appearance was likely refreshing to many, some couldn’t help but notice the coldness of her comments about Prince Harry, per Royal Insider.
“When speaking about her early relationship with Harry, it seems like Meghan is masking some of her emotions,” body language expert Darren Stanton revealed. “She is lacking the key signs of genuine emotion, such as crow’s feet at the corners of her eyes and full facial engagement. This could be due to Meghan feeling slightly uncomfortable about the line of questioning, making her expressions more performative than heartfelt.”
Despite Stanton believing that there was a void of emotion from Meghan in her statements about Harry, the Duchess didn’t hold back from speaking about her relationship with the royal. After a year of divorce speculation, Markle also put her foot down on the relationship rumors. When asked if she thought she and Harry would be married forever, she simply stated, “Yes.”

“That man loves me so much. And, you know, look what we’ve built, we’ve built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children,” Meghan added.
Meghan went on to reveal that because she and Harry were thrown into the “trenches” very early on in their relationship, things have really shifted for them. Now, after seven years, two children, and a controversial exit from the royal family, she says they feel like they can breathe. Because of this, she says that their romance feels like it’s in a new honeymoon phase, adding that they can “enjoy each other” in a new way.
“We can see through her. She’s fake,” one person said of Markle’s interview.
“She would also be slammed for showing too much emotion. She can never win,” stated another.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have continued to push through all of the bad press they’ve been handed. However, it seems that even though they’re no longer working members of the royal family, they’ll never be able to fully shed the weight of their fame.
