Meghan Markle‘s bullying allegations continue to pile up as staff members dubbed her “Duchess Difficult” in a revealing interview. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have been riddled with bullying claims for years, with several staff members and past employees coming forward with their survivor stories. These allegations reportedly began long before the Sussexes stepped back from their royal duties in 2020, even prompting the palace to inquire into the various staff accounts of their Meghan-Markle survivor story.
Since Megxit, more former staff members have joined the “Sussex Survivors Club,” and the numbers are growing by the day as more staff continue to quit on the couple after just weeks of hiring. Former Chief-of-Staff Josh Kettler’s decision to quit on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after just three months on the job further fueled these bullying claims and reference to the Duchess of Sussex as “difficult.”
A source close to the couple implied Meghan was the main culprit behind the bullying, while Harry was guilty by extension. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the source claimed,
“Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision -makers, they cahnge their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person, no airs at all, but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
Some of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s current staff members reportedly verified the bullying claims, admitting they even christened her the in-house monicker, “Duchess Difficult” within themselves. One unnamed staff member told the outlet,
“She’s absolutely relentless. She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”

Prince Harry Sheds Wife Meghan Markle to Prove He’s Still Relevant: ‘That’s a Fast-Depleting Factor’While the sources remain anonymous, employees at Archewell Foundation have since shut down the claims. The staff members insist the monicker, “Duchess Difficult,” has never been used to refer to the Suits alum. Hence, no employee could claim that for a fact. Harry and Meghan Markle also reside and work in their luxurious Montecito Mansion, miles away from their Hollywood-based Archewell Foundation. Hence, the idea that the Duchess walked around the organization barking orders was impossible. A staff told GB News,
“The duke and duchess work from Montecito, and we’re based in Hollywood. They likely think we’re all in the same office and that is why this quote would fly. But the circumstances don’t even allow for it. If she’s ‘marchng around,’ and ‘barking orders,’ no Archewell employee could factually claim that. It’s total nonsense.”
Another Archewell Foundation employee addressed the allegations of Meghan sending out angry emails at 5 am. The source justified the emails, saying everyone has, at some point, sent out emails when they couldn’t sleep. Hence, such morning mails coming from Meghan Markle don’t exactly make her “Duchess Difficult,” nor does it translate to bullying. Contrariwise, the 42-year-old always made it clear in her mails that no one had to respond outside their working hours. The source divulged,
“I’ve never once ever gotten an email from either of them at that hour – and even if I did, the duchess specifically notes in her email signature that everyone has a different working day, and to not feel obligated to respond outside of normal business hours. These source quotes don’t make any sense!”
While neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle has stepped forward to clamp down on these bullying allegations, their representative addressed them earlier, tagging them as “mistruths.” According to the rep, the genesis of such outrageous claims would most likely be a disgruntled former employee trying to make the Sussexes look bad. Regardless, the long list of employees turning their backs on the couple quickly doesn’t send a positive message even for the most optimistic royal watchers.
