Megyn Kelly wasn’t a fan of Barack Obama‘s birthday tribute to Michelle Obama. During the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the journalist and political commentator called out the former president for making his wife look unflattering on Instagram. She even went so far as to say he posted “the least attractive photo” of Michelle she’s ever seen.

Megyn Kelly was discussing the Barack and Michelle Obama divorce rumors with members of the Ruthless podcast when she brought up the couple’s latest photo together. “Did you see the post he put out to celebrate her birthday or their anniversary? He chose the least attractive photo of her that’s ever been released,” Kelly said. “I mean this is just wrong.”
Kelly said that Michelle “can look very nice” on camera. However, she thinks her husband didn’t do her justice with the photo he chose. “This ain’t it,” the talk show host said. Kelly then proceeded to pick out everything she found wrong with Barack’s birthday tribute, including Michelle still having a “kerchief on her head.” She also poked fun at the pair being “20 feet apart” from each other during what was supposed to be an “intimate dinner.”
Although she felt Michelle looked “terrible,” Kelly thought it was a “great picture” of Barack. “He looks great,” she said. “He’s got the thousand-watt smile.”
Unpacking Those Barack Obama Divorce Rumors
Kelly’s comments come amid speculation that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading toward a divorce. The first sign of trouble came earlier this month when Barack flew solo at Jimmy Carter’s funeral on Thursday, Jan. 9. According to AP News, all the former presidents and their spouses attended the ceremony except for Michelle. Her absence certainly raised eyebrows.
Interestingly, Michelle also skipped Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Monday, Jan. 20. Her missing two huge political events led some people to believe she was estranged from her husband.
To make matters worse, there has been talk online about Barack Obama and Jennifer Aniston possibly having an affair. The wild rumors first surfaced last summer on the celebrity gossip podcast Who? Weekly. It became even more widespread when InTouch released a magazine featuring the politician and Friends actress on the front page. “The Truth About Jen & Barack!“ the cover read.
Aniston broke her silence on the rumors in October. While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Aniston called the stories “absolutely untrue.” Watch the interview below.
