What Did Melissa Have To Say About The Rumors?
During an interview with Us Weekly on August 28, Melissa Gorga shared that the biggest test ‘RHONJ’ put on her marriage to Joe Gorga was the rumors of her cheating. The reality star shared how she and her husband have been handling the situation. She stated:
“There’s a lot of rumors that came out about me, and you know what? We just keep hitting ’em, swatting ’em like flies, [and] they just keep coming.”
Melissa and Joe are yet to settle things with Teresa Giudice, Joe’s elder sister, who, according to a source, encouraged the rumors. Melissa was at the bridal shower before the fight, but the couple skipped Teresa’s wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas and haven’t spoken to the 50-year-old since. When asked what it would take to go back on talking terms with his sister, Joe replied, “Let’s see what the future holds.”
Melissa shared, “We don’t know. That’s a very long answer.” Teresa, on the other hand, also shared she was not bothered by her brother and sister-in-law missing her wedding.
How Did Melissa Gorga’s Cheating Rumors Come Up?
Taking a look at the origin of the rumors which were brought up while shooting season 13 of ‘RHONJ,’ multiple sources point to Laura Marasca Jensen. She was purported to have stirred the rumors off-camera to allegedly land a spot on the show. Per Page Six, Jensen said she does not know if the rumors were true and claimed Margaret Josephs told her about the rumors.
After a fight with Margaret, Jensen reached out to Teresa and Jennifer Ayden. An insider stated that Ayden was the one who brought up the rumors on camera, not Teresa. The rumors claim the 43-year-old reality star kissed actor Nick Barrotta years ago during a press tour in New York, but A close source to the couple shared, “[Barotta] has been in a relationship for, like, 14 years, and they’re friends.”
