After leaving the Royal Capital, you can visit another big settlement called Martira. Besides investigating a kidnapping case, you can also encounter some notable NPCs. Although you may know him as Cuculus, Alonzo is his true name, and he is one of your follower bonds in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Like Brigitta, you will need to complete a side quest before you can establish a relationship with this suspicious man. Leveling up his bond is definitely a priority since his bond reward can give you the ability to see enemies’ weaknesses.
Best Dialogue Choice for Alonzo Bond in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Although you can meet him in the Royal Capital, you can only establish a follower bond with Alonzo once you reach Martira in Metaphor: ReFantazio. A cutscene will play where Grius’ keepsake is stolen, and Alonzo will offer to take it back if you fulfill a request for him. To trigger this side quest, you need to have Imagination level 2.
