Michael Cera’s work life has been hugely impacted by fatherhood; the actor revealed he now always wants to be with his family.
Actor Michael Cera is known to be notoriously private about his personal life; the actor has mostly kept his family and relationship with longtime partner Nadine out of the public eye.
Michael Cera and Nadine reportedly tied the knot in 2018; however, they have been so private about their relationship that it has been difficult to confirm if the reports are true or not.
The 34-year-old actor took his reputation to new levels when he kept the birth of his child away from the public for six months. Interestingly, he was not even the one who broke the news.
In March 2022, Cera appeared alongside his “Life & Beth” costar Amy Schumer, 41, for a joint Entertainment Tonight interview. At some point, Schumer mistakenly revealed Cera had welcomed a child.
Schumer said:
“Michael has a baby, too. Is that public knowledge? I just outed him, I just outed his baby.”
Cera went on to confirm the news and claimed they were still in the early stages. A few days later, the new dad revealed his son was 6 months already while talking to Extra.

Michael Cera’s Fatherhood
It has been a year since Cera confirmed he had fathered a son with his longtime partner, but the actor is loving every moment of the new experience.
The “Superbad” actor recently opened up about his fatherhood experience and claimed he misses his son whenever he is away filming.
While speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Michael Cera revealed that becoming a dad has made him change the way he approaches work. He claimed his family is now his biggest priority.
Cera revealed:
“I think the only thing that it affects is that you just want to spend as much time with them as possible.”
The actor further explained that when he was younger, he always loved the idea of visiting different cities and living in a hotel for months. However, he said all that changes when kids come into the picture.
Michael Cera’s fatherhood experience has him wanting to spend time with his family all the time, but work sometimes poses a threat. And when he is away filming, he misses his son a lot.
The proud father also touched on the TV shows he is going to introduce to his son first. Cera said 2016’s animated film “Sausage Party” was off the table for now, but there are still some animated movies that he could see once he is older.
Although Michael Cera struggles to give out so many details about his fatherhood experience, one obvious thing is that he is enjoying every milestone as a first-time dad.
