A Michigan driver found herself in a tense confrontation with a man who accused her of driving too fast down a dirt road. However, she insists she was going the speed limit and says she was already parked when the man called her over. He tells her, “If you can’t be calm on our road, I will call your boss.” Her TikTok video has over 222,900 views, over 22,000 likes, and more than 2,000 comments.

In the video, the man’s vehicle is positioned in the road behind her Amazon delivery truck. The incident occurred in Belleville, Michigan. He then gets out and starts taking pictures of the truck. She asks him to leave, and he responds, “No, I’m trying to talk to you, but you won’t talk to me.” She tells him, “I have nothing to say to you. Leave me alone!” To which he says, “You don’t want to listen to a grown man.” The driver argues, “This is not 1965. I do not have to listen to you.” He calls her names and again says he will contact her boss.

At this point, she gets back in her truck and calls her boss. The man remains near her door and can still be heard while she’s on the phone, continuing to say that he plans to report her. The Michigan woman explains that she had just made her delivery when she saw the man in the middle of the road. She says he motioned for her to come over, and that’s when she started recording.

“He’s right by the door and won’t leave me alone. He’s behind the truck, so I can’t back up,” she tells her boss. The woman is then advised to call the police and report the incident.

People Are Fired Up Over Michigan Incident

Many in the comments are annoyed on the Michigan driver’s behalf. One person says, “It costs nothing for these people to mind their own business. smh.” Another commenter points out, “He wanted a reaction out of you so bad. Glad you didn’t give it to him, sista.” The woman states that it took all her strength not to say something more. Another person was alarmed by the man’s actions, writing, “Why do they NOT KNOW THAT IS KIDNAPPING!!!!!! YOU CANNOT STOP PPL FROM LEAVING ANY PLACE!!!!!”

However, the commenter’s description of the incident as “kidnapping” is their own interpretation. The video does not establish that the man committed kidnapping or any other crime.

Meanwhile, others believe his actions could cause problems for his neighbors. One comment reads, “His neighbors are all gonna be [expletive] when Amazon says their road is undeliverable and they have to go pick up their packages.”

Others pointed out that Amazon has ways to monitor how its branded delivery vehicles are being driven. One asked, “Aren’t the trucks’ speeds monitored? He’s crazyyy. I hope he gets his karma.” That commenter has a point. Amazon says its branded delivery vans use safety technology that can monitor driving behaviors, including speeding.

It’s unclear from the video how the confrontation was ultimately resolved or whether the Michigan driver called the police. However, she says there is more to the story and that she plans to post a second part of the encounter.

For now, viewers are left wondering what happened after she was advised to call the police and whether the man’s complaint about her driving ever reached her employer.
