Michigan Restaurant Owner Throws Group Out After Heated Dispute, Then Grabs Customer’s Drink: ‘Nobody Cares’

I fear we’re missing several seasons of backstory

A Michigan creator is going viral after sharing a confrontation with a restaurant owner who ordered her group to leave. The owner accused the creator of having an attitude, while the group insisted they wanted to finish their meal. However, the video begins after the dispute started, leaving viewers without the full story.

Posted to TikTok by user @a5secretaccount, the confrontation includes on-screen text claiming the group was harassed by the restaurant owner “for no reason.”

The video starts after the confrontation is already underway. The owner accuses the creator of having an attitude and asks if the group wants their food wrapped to go. The Michigan creator pushes back, saying they plan to stay and finish their meal. When the woman points out, “I own the restaurant,” the creator responds, “Nobody cares. No one cares.”

The owner then tells the group it’s time to leave and pay their bill. However, the creator refuses, telling her, “We’ll leave when we’re ready to leave.” Things escalate when the owner grabs a drink from the creator’s friend, spilling it in the process.

On the way out, a man approaches the group. Part of the interaction happens off camera before the creator says, “Don’t put your hands on me.” She then warns viewers against the Michigan restaurant and accuses the employees of racism. The creator also claims in the caption that the owner poured water on her second phone and broke it.

The Comment Section Weighs In

The owner grabbing the drink became a major point of criticism. Several commenters argued she should have called police instead of getting physical with a customer.”I work in the food industry and by no means do you put your hands on a customer for any means. If you want them removed then call the cops. Once you physically touch someone it’s considered assault!” one person wrote.

Another felt the group’s behavior didn’t justify the owner’s response. “Regardless of if the girls were rude no amount of bad attitude warrants grabbing her drink like that,” they commented. The empty restaurant didn’t go unnoticed, with some suggesting the owner’s behavior might explain the lack of customers. “That’s why there ain’t nobody in there now,” one viewer wrote.

Still, the video beginning mid-confrontation raised plenty of questions about what happened beforehand. “Can we see the 10mins BEFORE you started filming,” one person asked. The group’s refusal to leave became another point of contention. “You are supposed to leave when asked to leave. Thats trespassing lol,” one viewer argued.

At least one commenter also claimed to know the restaurant owners and disputed the creator’s version. “I know the owners and this is far from the truth!” they shared.

While there are still plenty of questions about what exactly happened before the video began, many felt the group’s behavior didn’t justify the Michigan owner’s response. Even if the customers were rude, commenters argued the situation could have been handled more professionally.
