You’d think people would only register for the political party they actually support, but apparently, that’s not always the case. A woman from Michigan left the internet stunned after revealing the unusual scheme she had been running.
According to her, she joined the Republican Party and even worked on their campaigns despite not sharing their beliefs. In reality, she voted Democrat in every election. Her reasoning? She claimed that Republicans have “money to spend,” so she decided to take advantage of that.
She even said she worked on Trump’s last campaign, dressing up in MAGA gear and talking to supporters as if she were one of them.
It wasn’t just that the Michigan woman was making good money while pretending to be a Republican; she also claimed she managed to sway voters using subtle manipulation. For example, she would say things like, “I can’t wait for Trump to win, even though he’s going to come for SNAP benefits and Medicaid,” and then casually add that it wouldn’t affect her. That tactic apparently made some people realize how much his policies could impact them, leading them to reconsider their support. You have to admit, it was a clever strategy.
“I was really out there doing the Lord’s work,” she said with a laugh. And honestly, many people admitted they might have done the same in her position. After all, she was getting paid $86 an hour for her work, plus $45 for every email she sent. “It was just so much money to be made,” she added.
Of course, after her video went viral, it’s unlikely she’ll be keeping that job. It was good while it lasted, though. Maybe next time, the Republicans should tighten up their background checks.
People Reacting to the Michigan Woman’s Double Identity
People were definitely impressed by what the Michigan woman was doing. Working for the enemy for money while you are really against them is smart. “Behind enemy lines,” one person wrote. Another person joked and said, “Confuse the enemy.” It wasn’t just her who thought of taking advantage of Republicans, because some comments shared other examples. “The girl who pretended to be maga and got her tuition PAIDDD just to come out as a dem,” someone said. One TikTok user also shared their own story, saying, “During the first election I imported MAGA merch from China and set up a booth at every MAGA rally I could go to. MAGA literally paid off my car, student loan, my house and got to travel with my family. Thanks MAGA!”
The Michigan woman later shared even more details in the comments about what she gained from her double life. “They was giving me free stuff from they yard sales‼‼ I got exercise equipment, a microwave, and a 12-person tent,” she wrote.
One person asked, “So the Republican Party actually paid you to be out there? So this is proof that they’re projecting about who’s being paid to be at events?” The woman confirmed it, replying, “Ummm YES! They also pay sometimes 50–100 bucks to go to rallies.”
A lot of TikTok users admitted they’d love to do the same thing. After all, it sounds like easy money.
