Miley Cyrus has shocked Instagram as new photos show her with red hair. The Grammy-winning singer, 31, made headlines over the weekend as her photoshoot with W Magazine gained traction, with fans getting a set of figure-flaunting photos, plus an in-depth interview.
Cyrus, who won her first Grammy for her “Flowers” single this year, discussed the success of her singledom anthem, but fans on social media seemed more interested in discussing her drastic new look. When the magazine shared its Miley Cyrus cover earlier today, one of the most-liked comments went straight for the hair as the user wrote: “She’s back in her can’t be tamed era hair color.” Miley is best known for her signature blonde hair, although she did recently switch to a more brunette lock as she debuted her D&G eyewear campaign.
Miley Cyrus Shocks Instagram With New Red Hair
In a series of photos showing her outfitted in high-end brands, Miley stunned as she highlighted her chiseled features while rocking her brand-new red hair. Sporting a layered look complete with bangs, the ex to Liam Hemsworth showed off lowlights chopping up the flame-colored dye, although fashionistas were likely also eyeing up her wardrobe.
In one image, Miley posed in a matching shirt and shorts set, going leggy in a beyond-tiny pair of blue shorts from luxury label Gucci. Flashing her toned legs as she wore black slingback heels with a diamante finish, the daughter to Billy Ray Cyrus wowed, with further images showing her in a Chanel two-piece suit, plus a vest and turtleneck from hip brand The Row.
“Introducing W’s Pop Issue starring @mileycyrus,” W Magazine wrote on Instagram, then quoting an excerpt from Miley’s interview.
‘Can’t Be Tamed Era’
Fans were quick to make in-jokes, with the “Can’t be tamed” comment giving a nod to Miley’s third studio album. “This new hair color is so beautiful,” another fan remarked.
While mentions of Miley’s “Flowers” track were frequent in the feature, so were mentions of the singer’s 2024 collab with singer Beyonce. Bey featured Miley on her “II MOST WANTED” track, one part of her April-released country album.
“I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago. My mom would always go, “I love that song so much.” So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship. I told her, “We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country,” the pop favorite told the magazine.
That’s not all. 2024 has also brought Miley in collaboration with artist Pharrell Williams via the duo’s “Doctor (Work It Out)” track
