Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, have reportedly drifted apart over the past few years. Rumors suggest that the the former Hannah Montana stars had a falling out in part because of Billy Ray’s marriage to much younger singer, Firerose. However, Billy Ray and Firerose have now called it quits and things are getting very complicated. Despite it all, Miley is allegedly showing no sympathy to her heartbroken dad during the tough time in his life.
Sources close to Miley Cyrus claim that she is still angry with her father. Although Billy Ray Cyrus has started the process of ending his marriage with Firerose, Miley isn’t impressed. She’s said to be holding a grudge about the way he treated her mother, Tish Cyrus Purcell, per Radar Online.
Miley Cyrus Still Angry at Dad Billy Ray Cyrus Amid His Divorce Drama
Miley is allegedly feeling arrogant about predicting Billy Ray’s marriage to Firerose would end in flames. She reportedly knew things were never going to work between the couple and tried to warn her father. However, he didn’t listen, and now the drama surrounding the divorce is getting ugly. There have been allegations of stealing, cheating, and abuse between the estranged spouses.
“This is turning out to be just as toxic and messy as Miley predicted, but it’s tough for her to have a whole lot of sympathy for her dad right now,” an insider dished. “She’s still pretty angry with him for the terrible way he treated Tish, so it’s not going to be as simple as all is forgiven, just because he’s single again.”
“Miley always knew it wasn’t going to last and that her dad was being taken for a ride. She doesn’t want to see her dad hurting, but she’s also feeling pretty smug about being proven right,” the insider continued.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus is reportedly happy that Billy Ray Cyrus has “come to his senses” and ended things with Firerose. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean that she’s ready to forgive her father for everything that’s gone down in the past few years.
Miley Cyrus is said to be very supportive and protective of her mother, Tish. So, it seems that Billy Ray Cyrus may have some work to do if he wants to repair his relationship with the singer.
