Minecraft: How to Use the Lava Walker Enchantment

The Lava Walker Enchantment is a boots Enchantment mod in Minecraft that will let you walk on lava as it turns surrounding lava into basalt blocks. This is a trendy and valuable add-on, especially if you’re traveling the Nether areas since it is mainly populated by lava. How To Get and Use the Lava Walker Enhancement in Minecraft

As mentioned before, Lava Walker Enchantment is a third-party data pack, aka mod for Minecraft. That means you cannot obtain it normally in-game and has to download the add-on files off of the internet first. Here’s how you can both get and use Lava Walker to enhance your Minecraft gaming experience:

1. Download the Lava Walker data pack. You can find it on 9Minecraft.net.
2. Run Minecraft in Singleplayer mode.
3. Select the World to install the data pack first.
4. Click on the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Choose Open World Folder. A window will pop out, open the datapacks folder.
6. Drop the data pack file you’ve just downloaded into that folder.
7. Go back to the Minecraft window press Save to complete the process.
8. Enter the World.
9. Throw an Enchanted Golden Apple on Netherite Boots.
10. Lava Walker Enchantment is now active. Equip the boots.

In case the Enchantment doesn’t work, try reloading the World using /reload command. Make a new World if it still doesn’t work.

Can You Use Frost Walker Instead?

Meanwhile, in the base game, there is an Enchantment called Frost Walker. As its name suggests, Frost Walker lets you walk on water by turning them into ice blocks. It also causes you to be immune from campfires and magma blocks but not lava.

You have to remember that magma and lava are two different things — both in real life and in Minecraft. Magma refers to molten rocks in the underground (and can be mined into a block in Minecraft); meanwhile, lava is the molten rocks that make it to the surface and flows like a liquid (and also only exist in liquid form in Minecraft too). With that in mind, Frost Walker will only protect you from magma blocks, but you will still be burned if you try using it to walk on lava.
