Are you looking for a beginners guide with tips and tricks in Minecraft Legends? Even if you are an experienced Minecraft player, visiting Minecraft Legends for the first time will give you a new gaming experience. Just as Minecraft Dungeons brought more adventure, dungeons, and RPGs to the original game, Minecraft Legends brings you the ultimate open-world Tower Defense experience. To counter the incoming Piglin forces, you must join forces with former enemies, build new towers, and recruit little Allays to support your troops. Well, our guide is here to help you and tell you all the tips and tricks that beginners in Minecraft Legends should know.
How to Start Your Journey in Minecraft Legends
No matter how much you want to jump into Versus Mode or take on a challenge in Lost Legend & Myths, your adventure will begin with Campaign Mode. To start, open the Pause Menu and select the How to Play tab. Here you can learn all the basic mechanics and key bindings during gameplay.
After that, you will go to the game world, and the first thing you will encounter is the Well of Fate. The large building is the core of your adventures and includes a lot of utility. You can view the game map, learn about the best places to farm a definite resource, or use fast travel by using Well of Fate. Later, you will build many buildings, towers, and upgrades near the Well of Fate, but more below.
How to Farm Materials in Minecraft Legends
When visiting the game world for the first time, as in the original Minecraft, you must get some Stone and Wood. But you don’t have to use axes and pickaxes or go down the mine. In Minecraft Legends, little Allays play the role of miners and builders. The yellow Allays with a hammer are builders, and the blue Allays with a pickaxe are miners.
To mine materials, select a territory (you will learn how to do this during the tutorial) and ask Allay to mine all the materials in this area. At the start of the game, you will only have a few yellow and blue Allays. But you can increase the amount of Allay by opening chests in the open world and placing Improvement: Abundant Allays next to Well of Fate.
By allocating an area, Allay will only mine materials that fall into the zone (but some materials will be a surprise since they are underground). Only one Allay can work on one area, and you can do other activities while it works.
Where to Find All Materials in Minecraft Legends
While stone and wood are in abundance in all biomes, other materials are only worth looking for in certain areas:
- Diamond: Jagged Peaks.
- Redstone: Swamp.
- Iron: Many Biomes.
- Coal: Many Biomes.
- Lapis: Villagers’ chests after you free them from Piglins.
- Gold: Break down Piglin buildings.
- Prismarine: Kill Piglins.
But if you want to farm more resources, you can place Improvement: Gather (Coal, Diamond, or other materials) next to the Well of Fate.

Where to Find All Mount in Minecraft Legends
In addition to the base horse you get at the beginning of your adventure, you can tame three more mounts. You will receive different buffs depending animal you ride, but finding them is not easy.
When you open the in-game map, you may notice question marks. Come to this place, and you will meet a pack of creatures. Interact with the beast to ride it and unlock a new mount. All your animals will be waiting for you near the Village fountains, so you can easily change mounts depending on your needs.
Mount Abilities:
- Purple Regal Tiger: fastest creature in the game.
- Brilliant Beetle: walk on water.
- Big Beak: hover without falling damage and jump higher.
How to Build in Minecraft Legends
As we said earlier, you do not have to build buildings yourself since yellow Allays with small hammers will do this work instead of you. You only need to select the desired building, and Allay will get to work. But do not forget to take care of the necessary materials in advance.
To create most buildings in Minecraft Legends, you only need to collect the right amount of materials, but this does not apply to Towers. Towers are the base of your fortress combat power, and you must find these towers in the open world to unlock them. Also, before you can start building, you’ll need to get Prismarine, craft Improvement: Build Power Towers, and place them near the Well of Fate.
Minecraft Legends: Tips and Tricks for Beginners Guide
Well, here we are at the finish line. Having read up to this point, you no longer be a beginner, but we have a few more tips that will make your game progress a little easier and faster:
- First, we advise you to get acquainted with the Improvement list asap. Place different Improvements near the Well of Fate to increase the number of items you collect, the amount of Allay, your inventory, and much more.
- If you want to get more skins without buying the Deluxe game version, participate in the challenges in the Lost Legend mode.
- Although we mentioned it earlier, don’t forget to use fast travel to save time. You can also rescue villagers from Piglins and use their Village fountains as additional travel points.
- Sometimes you may encounter a quest to kill Piglins. In their settlements, there are more Piglins than you need, so kill the smallest ones to do it faster.
- Do not send all the troops into battle at once. Select the troops’ types in turn and develop a strategy. For example, stone golems will be more effective in the vanguard and wooden golems in the rear.
- Speaking of golems, don’t forget to always have a couple of mossy golems with you to restore health for yourself and your troops.
- Piglins can and will attack your base even if you have gone somewhere. So always protect it with walls and towers.
- To get more creature spawners (Skeletons, Creepers) into your ranks of warriors, free their territories from Piglins.
Minecraft Legends is available on PC, PS4-5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
