What started as an attempt to buy a memorable gift quickly became a bizarre story about accidentally taking home an expensive auction item.
During the auction, the Minnesota lawyer raised his number to bid on the guitar, but said the auctioneer was moving so quickly that he struggled to keep track of the bids. At one point, he apparently bid four times, including against himself. He eventually received a message congratulating him on winning the guitar.
