Miranda Lambert was shamed for her figure and her style as she stunned in a sparkly black dress last year. All smiles as she attended the 2023 Texas Medal Of Arts Awards in February of that year, the country singer ditched her fringe and cowboy boots for a sleek evening look, one highlighting her hourglass figure and her red carpet vibes.
Despite looking incredible as she dolled herself up for her big night, Miranda found herself bullied by virtually everyone responding to The Daily Mail‘s report of her soiree. While some told her to change her style completely, others suggested that she needed to lose weight, with one user even calling her dress “ill-fitting.”

Placing one hand on her curvaceous waistline for her arrival photos, Miranda nailed her look, going figure-hugging in a plunging black midi dress discreetly accented by sparkle embellishments.
Showing hints of her legs as she teamed her dress with chic black heels, the 40-year-old braved a plunging, sweetheart neckline, one contrasted by miniature puff sleeves on her shoulders and perfectly flattering her silhouette.
Miranda also held a clutch purse, wearing her light locks down, plus a gorgeous, matte face of makeup. Adding pops of red from her ribbon-hung medal necklace, the Idyllwind founder looked pleased to be at the event, but fans didn’t seem too pleased to see her.
Cruel Comments Shaming Her Look
When a user said that Miranda had “packed on the pounds,” over 40 others agreed. Miranda is reported to have gained 25 pounds, although a source close to the singer has said:
“She was always on one diet or another. But at this point in her career, she feels she’s earned the right to be herself. She wants to enjoy her life to the fullest.”
Elsewhere, Miranda was basically told that her dress didn’t fit. “Ill-fitting dress. She has gained weight,” another user replied. A third fan, meanwhile, added: “She needs to hire another stylist- she always wears clothes that are very unbecoming to her – that black dress is horrible.”
Miranda’s style is such a hit, she’s even built a successful clothing brand from it. Idyllwind is adored for its Western-infused outfits, cowboy boots, Daisy Dukes, and plaid shirts, and Miranda often models items from her brand in Instagram promos.
