A woman in Springfield, Missouri, decided to give her son’s nanny a $2,000 bonus after she, as a content creator, landed her very first brand deal. This led to a very emotional moment, and it was later revealed that the nanny was, in fact, the woman’s mother.

Mallory Brooks shared this tender moment on TikTok. She is a content creator with over 400,000 followers, with most of her clips featuring her cat, to the internet’s delight. The clip attached above became one of her most recent viral ones, garnering 172,800 views, 26,000 likes, and more than 250 comments.

The Missouri woman said that she was so excited to hand over the $2,000 to her son’s nanny. Mallory explained that she sacrificed “everything” for her and her son for the past six years, given the fact that she is a single mother.

Then, she explained that after years of creating content on TikTok, this was the first time that she had ever landed a brand deal. And while she has certainly monetized her content, this was a huge step for her, and she wanted to give thanks to the woman who was with her throughout the years.

“We have been on an insane journey together. We are polar opposites in so many ways. But at the end of the day, this woman is the reason I am where I am today,” Mallory said.

She would then make the big revelation: her son’s nanny was actually her mom. Mallory would go on to talk about how her parents, despite the economic hardships, thrived and didn’t mention their financial situation to her or her sister.

“And I owe them. I owe them everything,” the Missouri woman said. “So it’s the least I can do to go hand her this check. I wish it could be more. I have a feeling by the end of this year, I will be able to give back much, much more. But it’s a start.”

Mallory then cut to her handing over the bonus to her mom. She was in shock, even asking if she was sure, given her daughter’s credit card debts. Ultimately, she was thankful and moved by her daughter’s gesture.

Users Moved To Tears

The video sparked multiple responses online.

Some viewers found the interaction adorable, wishing the best to both women. One viewer said, “Manifesting more brand deals for Mallory and her Mom.” Another one commented, “This is so kind. You deserved those brand deals, and I hope you get lots more.”

Others, meanwhile, were shocked to learn that the nanny was actually Mallory’s mother. One wrote, “Aww, when you said it was your mom, it gave me chills!” Another one added, “The greatest gift is giving back to our parents! So happy for you.”

By the looks of it, Mallory will continue to give back to her mother. She said so herself, writing in the clip’s description, “All of the 80-hour weeks were worth it just for this. Just getting started.”
