Modern Warfare 3 is no stranger to bringing back the old-school Call of Duty content like maps, renamed weapons, and references. This time, it’s about a forgotten game mode that’s rumored to return in Modern Warfare 3, thanks to the developer Sledgehammer Games responding to a related Reddit post.

While Team Deathmatch is the bare bone of Multiplayer shooter games, other game modes tend to give you an objective rather than just killing the targets to win the war. Like protecting an area, rushing to secure a location, and planting a bomb so that the other team is challenged to make a defuse. But what about taking the enemy’s flag?

Capture The Flag is the title of a game mode that was first introduced to Call of Duty in United Offensive. The game mode has made its presence in almost all mainline Call of Duty entries, except for Vanguard and MW3 in recent releases. However, it seems like we’ll be able to capture some flags soon in Modern Warfare 3.

If you guys could bring back anything from past call of duty’s to MWIII what would it be?

A recent Reddit community post by a user called Eng11sh asked players which game mode they would like to see their return in Modern Warfare 3. The post has the poster of Capture The Flag game mode icon on it as the featured image, and it turns out Sledgehammer Games likes the idea!

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 developer has officially responded to the post with a curious eyes emoji, teasing a possible return of Capture The Flag. Now, this isn’t something that’d happen at a 100% rate, but seeing the developers observe fans’ requests is a good sign of the game’s situation in the upcoming seasons.

With less than a month left until we get to taste Modern Warfare 3 Season 3, it’s not out of this realm if Sledgehammer Games decides to add Capture The Flag game mode to the playlist.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
