Monica Garcia was fired from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City; however, that hasn’t changed her dynamic with Mary Cosby.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the former Bravo villain detailed her current relationship with some of the RHOSLC women. When asked who the mother of four is still close with, she gave a shoutout to Cosby, a series OG. “Mary [Cosby] is my girl,” Monica said. “She has had me in her corner the entire time protecting me.”
Fans got to see a snippet of Monica and Mary’s relationship during Season 4. Despite their growing friendship, though, the network gave Monica the boot. Even then, that hasn’t stopped Mary from connecting with Monica, who has a small role in Season 2 of House of Villains. As she continued, Garcia said Mary “checks in” frequently, saying the fashionista has “been amazing.”
Does Monica Garcia Speak With Any Other RHOSLC Women?
Monica Garcia’s close relationship with Mary Cosby is the only current connection she has to RHOSLC. During her chat with Us Weekly, Monica said none of her former co-stars have reached out to her since she was fired. “I mean, it tracks,” she said.
In case you forgot, Monica was axed from the series after she was exposed as the face of Reality Von Tease—a gossip account that targeted her co-stars. When the news came out, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and Angie Katsanevas decided they wouldn’t film with her. In a separate interview, Monica called their decision “beyond frustrating” since it led to her dismissal.
She continued, saying she didn’t realize they had “that kind of power to make that kind of stand.”
“They’re not NeNe Leakes; they’re not anything like that,” she said. “So, it just kind of blew my mind that they had that kind of power.”
Monica hasn’t been watching SLC’s current season. However, she’s seen a few clips and praised the newbies (Bronwyn Newport and Britani Bateman) for “holding their own.” So, would Monica ever return to the show?
“Housewives is all about bridges and mending relationships and seeing the other side of things,” she explained. “But [with] how things played out, I don’t know how they do it as long as certain other cast members are there. So I could see myself coming back if, maybe, there was a cast shake-up.”
In the meantime, watchers can also see the newbies (and returning Housewives) in action every Wednesday on Bravo at 9 p.m. EST. You can also stream the following day on Peacock.
