Capcom has announced that the next Monster Hunter Digital Event is coming on April 27. The online live stream will bring in news on the first Monster Hunter Rise title update and showing off additional information on the RPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories 2. The company has previously teased the addition of Chameleos, Apex Rathalos, “and much more” through the title update. The upcoming 2.0 update will also fix the Talisman melding issue that’s currently impacting several players.
Ever since the 1.1.2 patch, some players have encountered a bug when using the Wisp of Mystery option to meld Talisman. The bug makes melded Talismans released in a particular order. To make sure their save file is safe from the bad Talismans, fans have even made a Talisman Table Checker. Back in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Capcom actually did a similar thing on purpose, where a selection of randomized Charms are automatically set to your save file depending on when you start the game. Thankfully this time, the company has said that it shouldn’t be the case with Monster Hunter Rise, and it is working on a fix with the 2.0 update.
“We have confirmed a bug for some players when using the Melding Pot. This will be fixed in Ver.2.0, which will release at the end of April.
Please note that the game was not designed to turn out the same specific Talismans based on your save data. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please wait for the Ver.2.0 patch.“
According to the rumor mill based on data mined information from the previous two Monster Hunter Rise demos, aside from Chameleos and Apex Rathalos, the 2.0 title update could also add Teostra, Kushala Daora, Apex Diablos, and Apex Zinogre. Meanwhile, together with the story conclusion, the 3.0 version might add Bazelgeuse, Allmother Narwa as a variant of the Elder Dragon, and Crimson Glow Valstrax.
Monster Hunter Rise director Yasunori Ichinose himself has said that the second update will finally “conclude the story,” so I don’t doubt the existence of Allmother Narwa for version 3.0. But how about you, do you believe the data mine leak? Let us know what you think about the leak and upcoming updates in the comments below.
