Mortal Kombat 1 Season 5 has reset the Invasions mode, added new moves for certain characters, and most importantly, it has brought Ermac for us! Something is missing though; something about new easter eggs, references, and secret moves to uncover. Recently, there’s been a new secret Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1 Season 5, where you can throw your opponent to break the screen!

There’s no such name as Screen Brutality for this one, but since your character throws the opponent to break the 4th wall, we’ve used this term for it. This isn’t in any of the kombatant’s customization menus for how to perform info, but it’s been figured out after many lucky tries. Notably, the secret Screen Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1 is already unlocked for every main fighter in the game.

Now it’s fun to smash Omni-Man’s head to your TV screen, but there’s a catch. You can perform this Brutality on your opponent only when they’re at 10 HP or below. Every fighter has a 1000 HP meter, so it’s kind of hard to drain the opponent’s health bar to 1%, and then grab them.

In fact, only grabbing the enemy in Mortal Kombat 1 costs them 10 health points. So once you grab them, they’re already done. Once the animation goes into slow-motion for a second, press and hold up + Triangle on PS and Y on Xbox controllers.

The Mortal Kombat 1 secret screen Brutality might be a reference to the MK11‘s Raiden Brutality, where he would throw the opponent on the screen, and then blow them up with lightning. However this time, any kombatant can perform the move, and they won’t just blow up their targets with lightning power; not even Raiden.

Mortal Kombat 1 is currently available to play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
