This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you are a Mortal Kombat fan, then you probably know Takeda Takahashi from the good old days of MKX. The precious children of some of the Mortal Kombat’s main characters were called the “Kombat Kids,” and Takeda was one of them. However, MK1 seems to change directions for Takeda Takahashi’s fate, as he’s not Kenshi’s son anymore. The release date for Takeda Takahashi in Mortal Kombat 1 is also confirmed which would be the starting line for Invasions Season 7.

Takeda fights like Kratos in this new MK1 trailer, using his two whips that get incinerated with his powers like a true Shirai Ryu master. As we’ve guessed from his bandana and inferno form, Takeda is a member of the Scorpion clan, serving master Kuai Liang in the new timeline.

In fact, the new era has changed many things, and Takeda not being Kenshi’s son is one of them. This is while they still share the same family name of Takahashi, meaning that they might be cousins this time around. Takeda does mention Kenshi’s name in an intro dialogue with Ermac in his Mortal Kombat 1 reveal trailer, but he doesn’t call him father.

Takeda Takahashi Mortal Kombat 1 Release Date

Takeda Takahashi will be available in Mortal Kombat 1 on July 23, 2024, for those who have purchased Kombat Pack 1 or the premium version of the game. The early access period will end after a week like for every other Kombat Pack 1 character in the game. It’s worth mentioning that the delayed Ferra Kameo release is also on the same date as Takeda in MK1.

In the trend of every Mortal Kombat 1 Season, a fresh Invasions chapter starts whenever a new character is released. So with Takeda Takahashi joining MK1 on July 23, it’s safe to assume that Mortal Kombat 1 Invasions Season 7 will also start on the same date. Invasions Season 7 is already teased by the end of Season 6, showcasing a logo that resembles Shang Tsung’s fatality, giving a tinge of possibility that the next multiversal baddy is Outworld’s sorcerer.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
