This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

At the time of writing, the popular fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11 (I’m sure you’ve heard of it) currently has 34 playable characters on its roster. That doesn’t stop fans speculating and dreaming about who else they want to see show up to tear someone’s head off. Thanks to a data mine from @thethiny, it seems as if the next 3 DLC characters for Mortal Kombat are lined up, and on the way.

You can file these under rumor for now, as there has been no official announcement from developers NetherRealm Studios or from publisher Warner Brothers. That said, something is coming, as today NetherRealm updated the files of Mortal Kombat 11, and in doing so have referenced 3 new characters in the DLC files. Who are they? None other than Mileena, Rain, and Rambo.

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat fans have been hoping to see Mileena, and Rain for quite some time, but it’s the inclusion of Rambo that really raises eyebrows, as the age-old argument of who is better, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Sylvester Stallone can finally be answered with a Terminator / Rambo Mortal Kombat grudge match. That’s all I need to be sold on this idea.

As I’ve said, this is just a rumor right now, and there’s no word on when this will be made official or release. It is noted that Rambo seems to have the most work done in the data files, so it could be we see him first, or it could be that all three release at once, but just aren’t ready yet. Or, these could be pipe dreams, and we get nothing. Let’s hope that’s not the case.

Be sure to let me know your thoughts on seeing Rambo in the world of Mortal Kombat, and tell me what character you’d love to see in the game. If I had the choice of anyone it would be Spongebob. There are so many options for moves and you can’t tell me otherwise. Who would you pick?
