Moses Ingram has replaced Lupita Nyong’o in the Apple TV+ original limited series Lady in the Lake. She’ll play Cleo Sherwood in the project. Natalie Portman is also in the series playing Maddie Schwartz; a housewife turned investigative journalist. It’s an adaptation of Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name. Y’Lan Noel, Mikey Madison, and Brett Gelman are also starring in the Apple TV+ original limited series. Ingram’s character Sherwood is a headstrong mother that works to support Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda. Alma Har’el created the series and is directing and executive producing it through Zusa. Christopher Legget is an executive producer alongside Har’el. Portman is also an executive producer with her partner Sophie Mas. Endeavor Content is the studio responsible for the series. The series Lady in the Lake is the next big project for Ingram after the Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Moses Ingram Is a Rising Star
She got her big break playing Jolene on the Netflix hit series The Queen’s Gambit. That role earned Ingram an Emmy nomination. The actor made headlines again when she joined Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in Obi-Wan Kenobi and joined the Star Wars universe. Her film credits include Michael Bay’s Ambulance and Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. Nyong’o’s unknown reason for dropping out of the series Lady in the Lake is another opportunity for Ingram. She has already worked with highly acclaimed actors and directors in the early stages of her career. Now Moses Ingram will be able to show further her range in the upcoming Apple TV+ original limited series Lady in the Lake. The adaptation is yet another true-crime type of series that will have to show how it differs from the many other options out there.
There’s no release date for the Apple TV+ original limited series Lady in the Lake, starring Ingram and Portman.
