While we have been getting some big movies in theaters lately, it seems like the aftershocks of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes are taking hold next month. February 2024 is one of the lightest months we’ve seen lately in terms of theatrical releases. Although, there are still some prospects lined up to keep you entertained, including a superhero movie, a biopic, and an action comedy. So, let’s take a look at the five most anticipated movies that you can look forward to in February 2024.
Argylle
When a novelist named Elly (Bryce Dallas Howard) runs into some writer’s block, she finds herself in the middle of some spy action. She meets a spy named Aiden (Sam Rockwell) who informs her that her spy thrillers are based on a fictional Agent Argylle (Henry Cavill) and are very similar to current goings-on in the espionage community, making her a target. Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Argylle is set to be released on February 2, 2024. It also stars Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose, Sofia Boutella, and John Cena.
Lisa Frankenstein
Lisa Frankenstein was written by Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body) and directed by Zelda Williams in her feature directorial debut. It follows a goth girl named Lisa (Kathryn Newton) who pines over a dead boy, played by Cole Sprouse (Riverdale). One night, his body reanimates and the pair slowly obtain enough body parts to bring him closer to the land of the living. Lisa Frankenstein also stars Liza Soberano and Carla Gugino. This highly anticipated horror comedy movie will rise up in theaters on February 9, 2024.

Clarkson (also in her feature directorial debut), Madame Web follows a clairvoyant paramedic named Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson) who tries to protect three other women after they are all hunted by Ezekiel Sims (Tahar Rahim). Webb, and the three women – Julia Carpenter (Sydney Sweeney), Mattie Franklin (Celeste O’Connor), and Anya Corazon (Isabela Merced) – are all characters related to Spider-Man in Marvel Comics.
