MultiVersus is a thrilling mash-up fighting game, delighting all those lucky enough to gain early access to the open beta. Players can battle their friends in MultiVersus through online multiplayer, but people wonder if they can do so via crossplay too. If possible, this can open people up to playing with others regardless of which system they play on. So, let’s see if you can dive into a match with your friend on PC while you remain on a console.
Is There Crossplay in MultiVersus?
Does MultiVersus support online multiplayer crossplay? The short answer: yes.
Even though this is just an open beta, the game behaves mostly as it would upon full release. As such, those playing get access to the perks such as cross-platform play. For those unclear about what this means, crossplay allows you to jump into MultiVersus with anyone, whether you’re playing on a PC, a PS console, or an Xbox console.
This allows you the chance to always play with friends even if you don’t all have the same system.
Crossplay isn’t the only thing MultiVersus supports. The game also has cross-progression. This means that you can carry your progress over to another system. If you play on a PC but want to jump on the PS, your saved game will come with you, so you don’t have to start over.
When you do dive into MultiVersus with or against your friends in crossplay, you can visit numerous maps:
- The Batcave
- Sky Arena
- Training Room
- Tree Fort
- Scooby’s Haunted Mansion
- Trophy’s E.D.G.E.
- Trophy’s E.D.G.E. 2
Of course, there’s a high chance that more maps will be added when the game officially releases later this year. Meanwhile, you can enjoy crossplay in MultiVersus in different game modes like 1v1, Teams, Co-op vs. AI, or FFA.
