HBO is developing a true crime limited series called My Dentist’s Murder Trial that will star David Harbour and Pedro Pascal. Both Pedro Pascal and David Harbour will executive produce it. Steve Conrad wrote the script and will direct the first episode. The HBO true-crime limited series is based on the 2017 New Yorker article “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, false identities, and a lethal sedation” by James Lasdun. The article discussed the 2015 indictment of Dr. Gilberto Nunez for murdering his friend Thomas Kolman. Dr. Nunez got Koman “to ingest a substance that caused his death.” There were also cases of fraud and an affair. Pascal will play Dr. Gilberto Nunez; Harbour will play either Thomas Kolman or James Lasdun in My Dentist’s Murder Trial. Bruce Terris, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal along with Steve Tisch under Escape Artists will be executive producers.
