My Singing Monsters: How to Breed Grumpyre
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

My Singing Monsters is a mobile game that lets you raise weird monsters and then listen to them sing like your own personal pocket musical ensemble. Here’s how you can breed Grumpyre, the grumpy-looking ball bat-thingy with arms, in My Singing Monsters.

How to Breed Grumpyre in My Singing Monsters

In My Singing Monsters, you can breed Grumpyre once you have reached Level 9 by using a combination of a four-element monster like Deedge and one three-element monster. Below is the possible combination in the game:

  • Deedge + Congle (Air, Water, Cold)
  • Deedge + Spunge (Air, Plant, Water)
  • Deedge + Thumpies (Air, Plant, Cold)
  • Deedge + Bowgart (Plant, Water, Cold)

Then, tap on the Breeding Structure, pick the monsters you want to breed, and wait for 36 hours. Or you can pay 36 Diamonds to skip the waiting time. The Grumpyre is an Ethereal creature, so it can only be bred on Ethereal Island. If you have not yet built a Breeding Structure on Ethereal Island, click on the Market icon, pick Structures menu, and buy the Breeding Structure for 200 Gold or 10 Shards. Once the waiting period ends, tap on the Nursery, and now you can place the Grumpyre on Cold Island or Ethereal Island.

Through this method, there is a 1% possibility of successfully breeding a Grumpyre. This statistic indicates that after 70 attempts, you will have a 50% probability of breeding at least one Grumpyre. And you have a 99% probability of successfully breeding at least one Grumpyre after 690 attempts.

With that in mind, you might want to wait until an Ethereal Breeding Bonanzas Daily Deal is running. The Deal will increase the chance of breeding an Ethereal by 500%/1,000%, highly increasing your chance of successfully breeding a Grumpyre in My Singing Monsters.

You can also breed a Grumpyre and a Rare Grumpyre in Ethereal Island, which gives you a 100% chance of a Grumpyre if a Rare Grumpyre is unavailable.
