The Day of Memories Festival in My Time at Sandrock is basically what we recognize as Halloween but with more cacti. The Chase of Memories is a fun minigame that you can play during the festival. One group of players will play as Ghosts who are trying to run away from Ghost Hunters, who are another set of players. It’s a little bit complicated the first time around if you don’t really know what you’re doing, so we outlined the rules and how to participate with your neighbors in Sandrock.
Chase of Memories Festival: My Time at Sandrock Walkthrough
The rules for ghosthunting in the Chase of Memories Festival in My Time at Sandrock are as follows:
- Collect Badges, then play hide and seek.
There are two teams, Ghost and Ghost Hunters. Ghosts hide and Ghost Hunters seek. Badges appear randomly in the play area, and Ghosts will need to run around and collect as many as they can. Before the timer runs out, Ghosts have to use their badges to transform and hide in plain sight from Ghost Hunters.
- Ghosts start with disguises, run to a good spot, and use a disguise to hide
You can jump and move a little bit after using a disguise. However, if a Ghost Hunter sees you, you’ll get caught. Each disguise works better or worse depending on the location, so try different disguises in the areas that have Blue Fire to see which one works best.
- Ghost Hunters use Detectors to find hiding Ghosts.
Hunters can get all the badges from discovered Ghosts. However, if Hunters fail to find any Ghosts in a round, they will lose all of their badges, too.
- Ghost Hunters start the round away from Ghosts.
Earn extra Detectors by playing the arcade game while you wait for the Ghosts to hide. The only way to catch someone is with a Detector.
- Winners with the most badges get special rewards.
Catch lots of Ghosts, and don’t get caught yourself.
There are a total of four rounds. The first two rounds are played as Ghosts and the second two rounds are played as Ghost Hunters. So long as you have a good hiding space planned out, you won’t have to worry about getting caught. It’s easy to note which items are actually hidden Ghosts since they will move around a little bit, giving them away.
