Nancy Meyers’ Netflix movie would have been a great comeback for the director after about eight years since she showed off her director chops, but it didn’t fly.
Last April, sources substantiated that Nancy Meyers’ Netflix Movie titled “Paris Paramount” was under works. In an attempt to revive her directing career, she teamed up with the brightest cast.
Nancy Meyers’ Netflix movie cast featured Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender.
The storyline was inspired by Meyers who served as a producer and director for the film. This was her comeback after a long hiatus following her directing expertise on “The Intern.”
In 2015, Meyers directed a hit comedy featuring Anne Hathaway, and Robert De Niro, with Warner Bros. at the helm of affairs.
The seasoned star intended to hit the screens with a mind-blowing film working closely with Netflix, but it took forever for them to agree on the budget.
Though Nancy Meryers’ movie budget issue has been resolved, fans may not be seeing the much-anticipated rom-com anytime soon.

Nancy Meyers’ Movie Budget Issue Leads To Netflix Shutting Down Production
Nancy Meyers’ Netflix movie “Paris Paramount” which would have been a revival of the romcom genre will not be able to fly.
The director had requested a $150 million budget to make the film, but Netflix declined, pegging their amount at $130 million.
This would have been a considerable budget for the rom-com, even leading it to become the most costly rom-com film ever recorded.
The Plot For Nancy Meyers’ Netflix Movie
There was no official announcement citing that “Paris Paramount” was the actual name. So reports opined that it was merely a code name or working title.
But movie lovers were gearing up for an exciting time after knowing everything about the Academy Awards nominee’s Netflix canceled film.
The plot centers on a skillful writer and director who falls head over heels for a producer. They go on to make things work, professionally and romantically.
