It is hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since we saw our favorite knucklehead ninja begin his journey on the small screen. Week after week, fans worldwide sat in front of the TV to see what adventures awaited Team 7 and the other Shinobis of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. As part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Naruto anime, we’ll be getting four new episodes that will hit us with a nostalgic jutsu. These episodes focus on the iconic adventures of Team 7 and will air for four consecutive weeks. So, if you’ve been waiting to return to simpler times in the Hidden Leaf Village, now’s the chance!

While it isn’t a lot, having just a few new episodes of the beloved Naruto anime makes this 20th anniversary even better. In the latest teaser, we can see some key scenes that many fans will recognize. While it is uncertain which arcs the new episodes will focus on, people are already speculating. So far, fans have spotted Naruto fighting against Kabuto, Neji, and other iconic moments that also include Sakura and Sasuke. Undoubtedly, these episodes will hit us hard with nostalgia, and we’re ready for it.

If announcing the four episodes of the 20th-anniversary Naruto anime wasn’t enough, we already know which songs will appear in the opening and ending. The opening will feature the iconic “GO!!!” song redone for the 20th anniversary, while the ending will feature a cover of “Viva Rock” from ORANGE RANGE. The former will hit fans hard as it was one of the original anime’s most famous and iconic songs. With it returning for the 20th anniversary, everyone is excited and ready for the episodes to air. All that remains is to wait for the premiere date of these episodes on September 3.
