Considering the current presidential administration and all of the strange and nonsensical decisions that have come from it, nothing really surprises me anymore. What should really be surprising, but just isn’t, is the massive resurgence of Nazi personnel over the last few years. It seems that more and more people hate people of color and wish with all their might that a superior race would take over. One such person was spotted while driving out in San Diego, California, but it’s a sticker beside the Swastika that really caught the person recording’s eye; it was the Superman sticker.
A video depicts a Ford Explorer in San Diego, California, cruising along the highway by the Hillcrest area. As the video progresses, the camera zooms into one of the bumper stickers lining the rearview window of the SUV. Above a sticker of the American flag, almost too small to see, is a tiny, red Swastika. For those who do not know, the Swastika was used as a symbol of the Nazi regime during World War 2, and has become heavily associated with white supremacy.
Alongside this particular bumper sticker is an even wilder one: a Superman one. Superman is very well-known both to comic book lovers and outside to absolutely hate Nazis. In fact, there are various story arcs within the comic books that directly relate to his hatred of Nazis and actively fighting against them. Various commenters were also stunned at this, with the very top comment sayins, “Bro is pro nazi and pro Superman. How do you even get to that conclusion? He famously beat Nazis asses since like the 1940s.”
Superman has commonly been misrepresented to those who believe in the Nazi regime. In fact, the famous philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche used the concept of a superman within his work. While both his version of what Superman is and the comic book character are very similar in morals, the two are not connected. However, Nietzsche’s concept is constantly being misused, which explains why the two stickers ended up on the back of this person’s car.
Hopefully, the driver of the Ford Explorer will see their vehicle blasted on the internet and think twice before driving around so publicly on the road. At least, they should remove the stickers before facing drivers who know better.
