Nazi Woman Flaunts Civil Rights Shirt in Maryland Pizzeria & Confuses the Internet: ‘People Like This are Just Trash’

Pick a lane, lady

Imagine trying to enjoy a simple pizza in a Maryland waterfront restaurant when a woman with a Nazi Swastika tattoo and a penchant for wearing civil rights shirts just walks in. It’s enough to ruin your appetite and cause one heck of a confusion, and allegedly, that’s what happened in Ocean City, Maryland. Naturally, people were torn on what exactly the woman was advocating for.

Just a nazi waiting for her pizza

The photo was courtesy of Reddit user Consistent-Bid-7080, who posted the alleged incident and the supposed image of the woman herself in the Ocean City subreddit. The Reddit user was just enjoying lunch in the Buono Vita Pizzeria when they spotted the odd woman, flaunting both her Swastika tattoo and a Rosa Parks shirt (though modified for the modern vernacular). The image has since gone viral for the audacity of the “Nazi” woman, with many cursing the woman and the restaurant:

“Shame on them for serving her. I’d tell her to get the hell out of my restaurant,” Boring-Gas-8903

“Yikes. AND 2.8 star pizza,” says No-Permit8369

It’s not clear whether the pizzeria actually served the woman or didn’t mind the Nazi tattoo, though there’s a chance that the staff might have seen the Rosa Parks shirt and thought that it canceled out the Nazi stuff. Joking aside, there likely wasn’t an altercation due to the lack of video evidence, and it appears the Nazi woman with the Rosa Parks shirt was left alone to eat.

For anyone too young or who might have forgotten, Rosa Parks was a Black American civil rights activist who rose to prominence after refusing to yield her seat on the bus to a white passenger back in 1955. Her line, an abrupt and Spartan “No,” quickly grew famous as a rallying cry against US Black segregation laws. The “Nah -Rosa Parks 1955” shirt from Amazon is a playful take on her legacy.

People Were Confused at the Confused Nazi

People online were then quick to point out just how ironic the Maryland Nazi woman was, displaying diametrically opposing views. Nazis aren’t exactly known for their observance of civil rights– in fact, their whole ideology tends to trample on it. Meanwhile, Rosa Parks would certainly be rolling in her grave if she were to see who’s wearing the shirt, given how Nazis are racists.

“People like this are just trash. The funny part is they wouldn’t have survived Nazi Germany,” criticizes FutureboyMcfly69

“Ok, but like- why are we letting people like this feel comfortable going out in public?” questions Fatbunnyfoofoo

“With the audacity to wear a Rosa Parks shirt 😒,” frowns ImKeyKey

Of course, there’s always the chance that the Nazi woman is ignorant of what either symbol represents. I’d argue that that’s unlikely for a tattoo as brazen and as threatening as the Swastika. Some have made excuses, suggesting that perhaps the faded Swastika tattoo meant the woman had turned a new leaf. However, given the ease with which unwanted tattoos can be erased or covered up these days, that seems unlikely. She seems loud and proud.
