NBA 2K22 is now officially available worldwide on current and next-gen platforms.
NBA 2K22 is the latest iteration of Take-Two’s yearly basketball simulation. The 2022 edition offers players improvements in different areas, including visuals and team selections. NBA 2K22 also emphasizes the online community functions, while bringing forward new game modes.
NBA 2K22 Release: Step Up
A more tactical version of the traditional game, for the most competitive version of NBA 2K22. Players will be able to fiddle with skill-based dribbling, shooting, alley-oops, dunking, and much more. There are also going to be new blocks, as well as some never-seen-before contests.
Your City
Next-gen platform owners will be able to experience the all-new ‘City’, which is now linked to MyCAREER. Players’ progression will see them forge a path upward through college, the NBA G League, before making it to the NBA. MyCAREER goes several steps beyond: you can indulge in side activities too, such as investing in your own music brand, fashion style, and more. As usual, MyCAREER will pit MyPLAYERs against each other in fierce, competitive online matches.
An All-New Neighborhood
For PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC owners, MyCAREER is tied to the ‘Neighborhood’. Players will be introduced to a cruise ship – offering various activities and letting them customize their MyPLAYER. As usual, exclusive rewards and other progression perks will be earnable in the Neighborhood.
Create Your Dream Team, Experience Seasons
2K22 continues to help players build their ultimate NBA fantasy team. MyTEAM allows you to carefully build your favorite lineup – composed of basketball legends of different eras. The game mode will receive constant, regular updates with every new Season, so there are always going to be surprises to look forward to. Seasons will give rise to additional opportunities while giving players a chance to earn some extra goodies.
First Fridays
Every Friday throughout the Season, new songs will be added to the game’s expansive soundtrack. Notable music label partners include Columbia Records, Low Profile/Casual Records, Ninja Tune, Warner Records, and much more. NBA 2K22 tries its best to give players a refreshing experience on a weekly basis – with additional care taken with regards to community features.
NBA 2K22 Release: Available Editions And Platforms
Two-time NBA All-Star Luka Dončić will be featured on the cover of NBA 2K22‘s Standard Edition. This version of the game is available for $59.99 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The same edition is available for $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can also opt for the $79.99 Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, allowing them to play the Standard Edition across generations within either the PS or Xbox ecosystems.
The premium, NBA 2K22: NBA 75th Anniversary Edition, features Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant. This edition is available for $99.99 on all platforms and includes the Cross-Gen bundle already. It’s also worth noting that the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition is only available in digital format on the Switch, in the EMEA region.
