A photographer in Nebraska was conducting a photoshoot outside a church when a woman suddenly approached her. She started asking questions and, according to the woman with the camera, she then decided to call the police. As expected, the police didn’t do anything about it.

Watching this over now, I think it’s so funny so I wanted to share but we felt so uncomfortable during. What’s not recorded : I asked if she owned the church and she said she didn’t have to disclose that with me. She then asked for my information and that if I didn’t give it to her, she’d call the cops. I said I didn’t feel comfortable giving her my information so she proceeded to call the cops. She then started taking a bunch of pics of me, hope she got all my good angles!! Anyways, cops show up and say I did nothing wrong and that I’m good to go. I also got ahold of the pastor of the church and he knows my mom very well and I have permission to shoot there :) #concernedcitizen

The interaction was caught on camera and shared online by Lynsey, known on TikTok as picsbylyns. She usually shared her wedding, senior, and couples’ photoshoot sessions online, but this latest clip stood out for its virality. It garnered 5.1 million views, 320,000 likes, and more than a thousand comments.

The Nebraska photographer is shown directing the photoshoot, with seven women dressed in pastel dresses standing outside a church. Lynsey, however, found that a woman was standing and staring at them, as she detailed in the clip’s caption.

“Hi,” Lynsey told the mysterious woman.

After trying to figure out whether anyone knew the woman, she finally decided to ask her what she was doing. The unnamed woman then asked Lynsey if she went to church there, and she answered, “No.” Then, the photographer was asked if the area was “her property.” Again, Lynsey said “No.”

“Do you have an appointment?” the Nebraska lady asked. Lynsey said she didn’t, and the woman added, “I know you don’t. So I’m just watching.”

Confused, Lynsey quietly said, “Okay.”

Random Lady Takes Over The Photoshoot

The woman then decided to take over the photoshoot, telling the women they looked beautiful and even instructing one of them to move her hair to the side. Lynsey wrote in her caption that she “might as well have hired her as my assistant.”

Then, according to Lynsey, she asked the lady if she owned the church. She refused to disclose that with her, but then asked for Lynsey’s information. The Nebraska photographer refused, and the lady called the police in return.

After the lady took pictures of her, the police finally arrived. They told her she was not doing anything wrong, and she was good to continue her photoshoot.

Viewers Can’t Make Sense of the Interaction

The video sparked multiple responses.

Some users were left speechless by how things went down. One user wrote, “This is probably the most confusing interaction I’ve ever seen.” Another one asked, “The complaining but also trying to help the girls??“

Other viewers criticized the woman’s attitude altogether. One person made a broader generalization, writing, “Super crazy church people are the meanest and unholy people.” Another one added, “Her giving corrections would’ve sent me into orbit.”

The clip gained significant traction online, with viewers reacting to the interaction in the comments. Of course, this led to more engagement, and TikTok pushed the clip well above Lynsey’s current follower count. Videos featuring unexpected confrontations have historically performed well on TikTok, often reaching audiences well beyond a creator’s existing follower base.

Lynsey later clarified that she had permission to shoot outside the church, as the pastor had previously granted access through a connection with her mother.
