Anna Faris went to Las Vegas to celebrate a “dream job,” but the Scary Movie star’s latest red carpet interview quickly revived a much different conversation about her well-being.
The 49-year-old actress attended the Nevada world premiere of Spa Weekend alongside Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher and Michelle Buteau, where she enthusiastically spoke with Extra about the new comedy and the complicated “logistics” of being a busy mother.
Faris appeared excited while discussing the friendships she developed making the film, which follows four longtime friends whose attempt at a relaxing luxury getaway descends into chaos. She previously described working with the cast as deeply meaningful and said the women formed a tighter bond than she ever expected.
Yet footage from the Las Vegas appearance reignited online scrutiny surrounding Faris only two months after viewers expressed similar concern during her promotional run for Scary Movie 6.
At the time, some fans watching her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show questioned her rapid speech and animated demeanor, with one asking, “Is Anna okay?” Others pushed back strongly, arguing that Faris has always displayed an eccentric and high-energy personality during interviews.
Anna Faris Fans Fight Back Against Growing Concern
Not everyone believed there was anything troubling about Faris’ latest appearance.
“She’s chosen to age gracefully and people just refuse to allow her to do so. Shameful,” one supporter argued.
Another reminded critics, “She is 49 years old. She’s not 29 anymore. Let the woman age!”
“Your average 50yr old looks like this… we’ve lost the plot, she looks great,” a third person wrote.
Someone else blamed unrealistic Hollywood beauty standards, arguing that audiences have become so accustomed to seeing celebrities with cosmetic enhancements that natural aging can suddenly look unusual.
Others maintained that the discussion was not about wrinkles or aging at all, but rather Faris’ mannerisms and speech.
That distinction matters. Faris has not disclosed any health issue that explains her interview behavior, and there is no verified evidence supporting the more extreme speculation circulating beneath the clips.
The actress herself appeared focused on work in Las Vegas. Spa Weekend arrives in theaters later this month and adds another major project to a busy comeback period that also included her return as Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie 6.
Faris went to Nevada hoping audiences would talk about her new comedy. Instead, TikTok turned one red carpet interview into another debate over whether fans are genuinely seeing something concerning or simply watching a familiar actress get older.
