A woman in Las Vegas, Nevada, opened up a free 7-Eleven for her delivery drivers. While they, along with some of her neighbors, were really appreciative of her initiative, apparently, the homeowner association (HOA) wasn’t a fan. Therefore, she was forced to close her business for good.
The clip was shared online by popular content creator Serena Neel. She usually posts viral content of this kind, and the clip attached above is actually the third in the free 7-Eleven series. The conclusion to the series, although the smallest clip of them all, still managed to garner 5.5 million views, 1.4 million likes, and close to 4,600 comments.
The Nevada woman started day two of her 7-Eleven front porch adventure with a restocked fridge filled with drinks, fresh hot dogs, frozen lemonade, and many other items, all free. Through a jar system, she received a whopping 19 five-star reviews in just a day.
A montage of delivery drivers arriving at Serena’s house followed. Multiple FedEx, UP, and Amazon workers were delighted to find all the freebies available to them. Neighbors walking on the street also got to enjoy Serena’s generosity, saying that it was “like heaven.”
Sad Announcement
At one point, however, Serena got out and vlogged a public service announcement.
“In two hours, my free 7-Eleven is gonna be closed forever,” she said.
Of course, no one expected the Nevada woman to keep the free 7-Eleven forever. Intended as a limited-time-only activity, Serena was actually relieved, in part, by shutting the free store down. According to her, the HOA has parked in front of her house on at least three separate occasions. She even showed a photo of the parked HOA’S vehicle.
Still, the rest of the day was a massive success for the store, with many more people, mainly neighbors, having their days changed for the better once they encountered Serena’s 7-Eleven. She even invited the owner of a real 7-Eleven to check hers out. The man was utterly impressed.
“This has been so much fun. I think I made the HOA really mad,” she added. “But you know who I made really happy? All of the delivery drivers.”
Finally, Serena called her viral venture “the best two days ever.”
Reactions
Some viewers straight-up bashed Serena’s HOA. One viewer said, “Why does the HOA care what you’re doing? You’re being nice.” Another one commented, “HOA needs to mind their business.”
Other viewers were surprised by the sheer number of drivers arriving at her home. One wrote, “Serena, I’m amazed at how many deliveries you get in a day.” Finally, some expressed mixed feelings about a neighbor stopping by to take some of the free items. Some, however, said that it appeared that the Nevada woman simply did not care.
Serena’s viral series of 7-Eleven was overwhelmingly well-received. Hopefully, and if the HOA allows it, the store will be back in business soon.
