Cheating in multiplayer games has long been a problem that can’t be ignored. Cheaters use third-party apps to gain advantages over their enemies and other players. Whether using an aim bot to aim or wall hacks to see through walls automatically, they always find a way to stay one step ahead by cheating. And according to recent reports, the new Apex Legends hack makes cheaters harder to catch.
The Apex Legends Hack Makes it Impossible to Catch Cheaters
Apex Legends or EA Games’ Easy Anti-Cheat is very successful security software. While it manages to ban these cheaters automatically, it seems some of them can go under the radar for a while. However, there is a Respawn system to detect those who escaped from the radar. Thanks to Respawn Entertainment, other players can report hackers; at least it works fine for Apex Legends among EA titles.
However, according to the latest report from Apex Legends players, these people that cheat found a way to bypass this security system. A brand-new third-party software allows cheaters to realize when someone is watching them and turns off their hacks accordingly. The new issue was also shown by Apex Legends player “Gaming Merchant,” who warned their followers that it could now be harder to determine whether a player is cheating or not.
YouTuber Gaming Merchant is said that when you decide to watch to see whether a player is cheating, the third-party system has already disabled the cheats. Then, the cheater plays like a typical gamer until you stop watching. “This has been in-game since season 10,” YouTuber said. “The cheats have an auto turnoff feature when you’re being spectated and alerts for when spectating begins.”
If this software is a real danger, Respawn may stop relying on player reports. Nevertheless, EA Games and Respawn Entertainment haven’t yet made a statement regarding the third-party cheat software, but the increasing complaints from players should have prompted them.
