That burning question from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will soon be answered. How did C-3PO get that red arm? Marvel and Disney announced a while back that there would be a C-3PO comic coming soon, and now we know it will be on shelves in March and will tell a previously unknown story about our favorite fluent communicator.
In the pages seen below, Marvel and Disney released a preview of C-3PO #1:
First seen on Slashfilm, the images do not show us much, but they do appear to be depicting C-3PO in some distress or trouble. The companies also released the official synopsis of the comic series along with the comic images:

Hopefully, the witty droid’s story will be an intriguing one. I’ve always loved C-3PO. The red arm scenario could attach him to some other storylines as well, and could potentially be a link to a more intense time in the universe after Return of the Jedi, a time we don’t know a whole lot about.
In any case, as mention before, the comic hits store shelves in March.
